Try this: On Xbox tonight, I found 11 diamonds in the space of ten minutes. Three veins. Dig down to bedrock in a 2x2 tunnel, then go straight forward in the same tunnel size. Every 4-8 blocks forward, dig towards each side of you for 8 blocks in a 2x2 tunnel.
