The career of Ella Fitzgerald, one of the most distinctive voices of the 20th century, is spotlighted in this comprehensive documentary featuring the most complete concert footage of Fitzgerald ever assembled, including shows from Denmark, France, Germany and the United States. Also included are rare interviews with her family and colleagues, vintage photos from Decca and Verve and television clips of the peerless songbird.

Hey this documentary never mentioned her getting her doctorate in music and arts from U.S.C. in 1994. That was my graduating class. She couldn't make it on that day due to ill health, but her nephew came. She was a brilliant artist.
